Sourced directly from an organically operated family farm in Copan, Honduras, these coffee beans are pollinated and fertilized by local bees and bats! They’re also grown near orange farms, giving them a bright citrus flavor that adds complexity to the coffee.
After being processed via wet wash, the coffee is fermented, dried, and bagged, then shipped to the US, where it’s roasted to a deliciously dark finish by Comics on Coffee!

Super dark roast isn’t for everybody; it has a distinct but delicious bitterness and a nutty aroma and flavor that is common to your extra dark roasts. This is a very solid roast, approved thoroughly by my wife, the coffee cultist extraordinaire, and myself, who am only a humble dabbler in the extra dark realms. I will also note that, for those with stomach issues, darker roasts tend to be easier on the stomach. All told, we highly recommend this, and give it three cockatiels up, our highest rating. And now I need to go get the cockatiels back down.
