Hey, comics creators! We want your work!

The submission deadline for our seventh immersive, progressive, gorgeous, creator-owned indie comics anthology is almost here! This time, we’re looking for wintery wonderlands, frosty fun, and all the hot cocoa you can shake your pencils at. So here’s everything you need to know about sending us your best work by September 1!

ONESHI PRESS SOLICITS WINTERY SHORT COMICS SUBMISSIONS

Independent publisher Oneshi Press is accepting submissions of short comics and fine art for consideration in its winter anthology. The 7th indie comics anthology from the Missoula, Montana–based publisher will be a shivery celebration of snow, ice, sledding, and fireside frolicking! From Jack Frost to sledding to mulled cider on the long, dark nights of winter, this collection of short comics seeks all things winter. Submissions of gorgeous, immersive, progressive 8-page comics are due on September 1.

“Share your odes to frozen landscapes, your paeans to chapped lips and cold noses, and your favorite hot-chocolate inspired comics,” says Oneshi Press co-founder Lynsey G. “Our seventh anthology will be as icy as they come, and we want you to be a part of our winter wonderland!”

We will give priority to winter-themed short comics, but we’ll also welcome comics with other topics. Submissions for the 7th anthology are due by September 1, but the Press is always accepting submissions for future anthologies. Anthologies also feature fine art spotlights and guest art, so we also invite visual artists to submit samples of their work. We also eagerly accept guest art of Oneshi Press characters.

Oneshi Press prioritizes marginalized voices, intersectional storytelling, and progressive ideas. We encourage LGBTQIA+ creators, creators of color, disabled creators, and others with unique perspectives to submit. Creators retain ownership of their work, and are paid royalties. Anthologies sometimes include depictions of non-explicit sexuality and violence; creators should be comfortable with these themes when they submit.

Submissions guidelines can be accessed here, and previous comics anthologies can be purchased in print or digitally through the Oneshi Press store.
